personalized garden designs
Grow Together’s design process focuses on building connections and centering relationships. We consider how you wish to interact with the garden and how the garden relates to its neighboring environments. Together we discuss maintenance and management goals as well as garden qualities and attributes that will benefit local species. Personalized garden designs are crafted through a series of consultations, site visits, and collaborative design.
trainings
In sharing our enthusiasm and love for earth-care we hope others choose to engage and relate more deeply with the living world. We offer educational workshops for schools, organizations, and communities to learn more about earth-based practices. Additionaly, our collaborative approach to garden installation allows for hands-in learning and skill sharing.
installations
After garden designs are complete, our team is available for hire in implementing the design. We encourage that installs are done in collaboration with an on-site team. These collaborations naturally allow for skill-sharing and knowledge exchange amongst participants.
field work
Seasonal maintenance is important in an ecological-design. We can be hired hourly for an array of garden tending needs such as: weeding, pruning, compost management, and harvest.
consultations
Open dialogue is a core element to our design process. In the initial phases of a design communication is central to discovering garden goals and needs. Our collaborative design process begins with a questionnaire and phone consultation. These steps provide foundation for future work and collaboration. The Grow Together team is available for phone and on-site consultation through-out the phases of your garden project. We talk through decisions and choices to promote clarity and transparency in our designs.
site visits
Observation is key in understanding the uniqueness of a place. Site Visits allow us to better know a space and to identify key resources or challenges present in the project. These visits can be done in person or digitally.
garden art
We believe creativity is an abundant resource. We aim to re-use, re-purpose and re-imagine on site resources to create beautiful and engaging gardens. Our team is made up of artists and craftspeople who specialize in carpentry, furniture, ceramics,murals, and sculpture, as well as musical and theatrical events. You can commission specialty work and hire our entertainers for unique outdoor events.
nursery plants
Our nursery grows plants specific to garden project designs in addition to maintaining a diverse collection of plant starts and seeds for the general public.
